Kids On The Hill Academy believes in the importance of good nutrition and nutritional education in order to help children to grow and reach their full potential.

We participate in the USDA food program and meet or exceed federal guidelines for meal components and portion size.

  • We serve breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. All meals are home-cooked with tender loving care and prepared daily on-site. Our cook is one of the most popular ladies on campus.

  • We serve a variety of wholesome, kid-friendly foods carefully designed to meet the nutritional needs of your growing child.

  • The children eat together with their class in a comfortable, relaxed setting that encourages language development, social skills and self-esteem development through casual conversation.

  • Each Meal Consists of the following components:

    • Breakfast Components - Milk, Fruit, Bread

    • Lunch Components - Milk, Meat, Bread, Fruit, Vegetable

    • PM Snack - Any 2 components: Milk, Fruit, Vegetable or Full Strength Juice, Bread or Meat

  • Water is offered at each meal and available in every classroom throughout the day, a water fountain is also located in the hall outside the classrooms.

Children are never forced to eat or finish their plate but we do encourage each child to try one or two bites of everything. Sometimes they are surprised by what they like!

Kids On The Hill Is a NUT FREE FACILITY

Therefore no peanuts or peanut products, or products containing any type of nuts, or a product that was made in a factory that produces any type of product with nuts of any kind are allowed to be brought into the facility.

The reason for this policy is to ensure that the children who are allergic to nuts, and some so highly allergic that even the smell of nuts or nut products can cause a life-threatening reaction are protected from coming into contact with an allergen.

SNACK

If you wish to provide snacks at your child's birthday or any other time, that's great! Just let us know ahead of time. To protect children with allergies, we can only accept store bought food and treats with the label still on so we can check for allergens
